Days Fly By

Today I went to the preschool I volunteer at, and one of my kids told me that it was his birthday. I asked him how old he was, and he told me he was six. Six! That really struck a chord in me. This boy and I have been "buddies" since he was two years old - and now he's graduating and going to first grade. The time has flown by so fast, I can hardly believe it! School's almost over, and I feel like this is one of my more bittersweet ends. Apart from my beloved preschool buddies graduating, I have a lot of friends graduating high school and going to college in the fall. (Tear sniff.) Yesterday, a (senior) friend of mine told me he only has two weeks left in school! Is it just me, or has this school year flown by unfairly fast?
