The Deathly Hallows

Today, I went to the Texas Renaissance Festival with (the homeschooling portion of) my family and some friends of ours. It was a lot of fun! I didn't get to go last year, but since this is (probably) my last year in town for a while, I wanted to go enjoy the deliciously bad for you food and nitpicking the historically incorrect costumes for sale. (Purist? Never!)

One of my Ren Fest traditions is getting a henna tattoo. You can (kind of) see this year's tattoo on my wrist; it's the sign of the Deathly Hallows. If I were to ever get a tattoo, I'm 99% sure it would be the Deathly Hallows on my wrist in white ink. (Because nothing screams nerd like permanently inking a made-up symbol on your wrist.) However, I probably won't get a tattoo because I feel like that's a decision I would regret somewhere around my 65th birthday. (Or, like, a year after I got it.) So I get to have a "tattoo" for the honeymoon time when it's still super awesome, and the world (or the people who look at the inside of my wrist) will know the full extent of my nerdiness.
