One Step Remodeling

My mom gave me this shirt a few months ago. I liked the pattern, but the shirt was long sleeved and WAY too big on me, so it kind of turned into one of those "I'll wear it someday" shirts. The summer trend of sleeveless button ups recently caught my fancy, but I couldn't do anything about it - that seems to happen when you can't buy clothes! Then, yesterday, I was in my closet and I saw this shirt. I thought, "Why don't I just cut the sleeves off?" I looked up a tutorial online, and five minutes later I had a brand new shirt (that I actually wore to a lax game last night...don't tell!). It was honestly the easiest DIY I've ever done - all you have to do is cut just outside the seamline where the sleeve meets the shirt. Because of the way button ups are done, the hem is already there, so there's no sewing involved!
